THURSDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 7.30p.m. : Digging up the Raj. Speaker: Shabnam Vasisht author of the book “Digging up the Raj” has uncovered the stories of a wide range of Irish people who lived and worked in India during British rule -servicemen, civil servants and missionaries who aimed to convert sun-worshipping heathens to “muscular Christianity”. Her talk will be about some of these people. All of them are buried in Deansgrange Cemetery. Chair; Rosheen Callender.

THURSDAY 6 OCTOBER 7.30p.m. : “It’s time we grew up and abandoned Irish neutrality” A Debate. Speakers will include Senator Gerald Craughwell and Roger Cole of the Peace and Neutrality Alliance.
