CLUB TO OPEN EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT
Commencing from the third Saturday in January – the 20th January- the Eblana Club will be open every Saturday evenings from 7.30p.m. All members and friends are requested to support this additional opening, especially during the first few months.
As usual the club is also open every Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7.30p.m. when the usual welcome awaits all who attend.

In addition to CHESS on Wednesday evenings, Ukulele on Saturdays from 11a.m.,Art / painting Classes on Fridays from 10.30a.m. (book with Andy on 085-7415930), the following are also happening during January:

Saturday 13th : Roger Casement Committee AGM from 2.00p.m.

Wednesday 24th : Creative Writing 10.30a.m. Art Class: 2.30p.m.
Thursday 25th : The story of an innocent man interned without charge or trial in a US prison for some 14 years.
Saturday 27th : Annual Robbie Burns / Scottish Night. From 7.30p.m. (free event).
Monday 29th : Bridge 2.00p.m.
Wednesday 31st : Creative Writing 10.30a.m. Art Class 2.30p.m.
Thursday 1stFebruary at 7.30p.m.: OPEN FORM on “What has gone wrong in the Gardai, army and naval service”. Speakers; Stephen Moore, a former Garda now representing OUT OF THE BLUE, Michael Murphy, former Deputy Director of Irish Army Intelligence and Conor Galvin, a former Irish naval serviceman representing the Irish Naval Association.

The Talk on Thursday 25th January 7.30p.m.
Mansoor Adayfi is the author of “Don’t forget us here: lost and found at Guantánamo”, a memory of 14 years he spent in a U.S. prison, without charge or trial, as a result of a large bounty paid and despite him having NO political or terrorist involvements. His English is very good and he still has a great sense of humour. He is visiting Ireland for a short period and Eblana Forum is delighted to host his most informative talk. An event not to be missed.
